Ways of opening a media or video on the PC

Opening files or folders in the computer system can also be considered exploring or reading. This is also known as the launching of an application, files, folders, programs or any other form of file in the computer system.

How to open a media file

1. Open the file by double-clicking on it to open
2. Note that this will open the file, especially with the default player
3. You can also open the file by left-clicking and pressing the enter key once

Alternative 2

1. Right-click on the file
2. Choose from the shortcut menu open with
3. Choose the media player you want to explore the file with
4. Click on the media player in the next shortcut menu

Alternative 3

The file can also be opened through  the windows explorer:

1. Open the file explorer using the Win+E
2. Move to the folder where the file is located
3. Right-click on the said file and choose Open with from the other shortcut menu
4. Click on it to explore or open the file

Examples of media players:

• Windows Media player

• GOM Player

• VLC player

• Movies player and also

• TV player and many more.
