What happens when you consume too much garlic in your body?
These are as follows:
1. DIARRHEA
Because of the gas-forming compounds like Sulphur which play an important role in triggering diarrhea, the consumption of excess garlic on an empty stomach can cause diarrhoea. It’s advisable to take in garlic moderately to avoid the effect.
2. DESTROYS THE LIVER
The excessive intake of garlic is not good for the liver because the liver is one of the vital organs in our body and plays a vital role in the purification of the blood, protein metabolism, removal of ammonia, and fat metabolism in the body. Taking garlic should be done at a moderate level to avoid damaging the liver.
3. AGGRAVATE BLEEDING
The excessive intake of garlic may increase the risk of bleeding; it should not be taken with any blood-thinning drugs like aspirin and warfarin. It’s not advisable to combine blood-thinning medication and garlic; it’s a dangerous risk because it may increase the risk of internal bleeding.
4. AGGRAVATES VAGINAL INFECTION
Making excessive use of garlic or making an excess insert of garlic in the vagina to treat vagina infection can aggravate the yeast infection by irritating the tender tissue of the vagina.
5. CAUSES NAUSEA, HEARTBURN AND VOMITING
Consuming garlic on an empty stomach excessively can cause acid reflux, vomiting, heartburn, and nausea. An excessive intake of garlic can lead to gastroesophageal reflux disease in most individuals.
6. CAUSES LOW BLOOD PRESSURE
The excessive consumption of garlic in the body can lower blood pressure. If you are already on medication, there is no need to take garlic because it may lead to hypertension (low blood pressure).
7. CAUSES VISION CHANGES
Excessive intake of garlic in the body can lead to hyphemia, a condition that causes bleeding inside the anterior chamber of the eyes (the space between the iris and the cornea) and may lead to a loss of vision.
