Shutting Down A PC

Shutting down a PC or a personal computer means turning off the computer completely. This is called booting. Booting is the act of turning on or off the entire computer system.

Types

There are two types of booting, namely:

  • Cold Booting
  • Warm Booting

COLD BOOTING

This is a process whereby the personal computer is turned on for the first time while all outlets and sockets are switched on. Making sure the UPS is also turned on (if available). Right after that, the system unit and then the monitor were the last output devices to be turned on.

It is inappropriate to not follow the series of commands and stages when turning on the personal computer. The procedural format should always be considered the first and foremost step.

WARM BOOTING

This is the process whereby the personal computer is restarted while working. This is done by the user of key combinations on the keyboard. That is ctrl+alt+del.

When the aforementioned keys are combined, the system restarts immediately, as soon as possible.
