Notepad

Note pad is also classified as one of the application software in the computer system and whole worldwide. Application software on the other hands are programs that are installed in the computer system to enable users to perform multiple functions per users requests and demands.

Examples of an Application Software are as follows:

Microsoft Paint

Microsoft Word or MS Word

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Powerpoint

Microsoft Access

Publisher and many other related application software.

How to load Note Pad

(Using the Computer Mouse)

• Click on the start button from the task bar
• Select and click on all programs
• Move the mouse pointer to Accessories and click
• Click on Notepad from the drop down menu or list

Using the Keyboard

1. Hold down the windows key as you press the letter R, where R means run (Win+R)
2. Type in the run dialogue box note pad.
3. Press the return or the enter key.

Alternatively:

• In the search box on the windows task bar, type notepad and
• Press the enter key to load the required application or program

Tips:

Note pad is not a programming language, however, it is noted to be an application software for text editing. Note pad comes with the windows setup which can be used to edit text files and even source codes.
