Microsoft reveals next evolution of Windows 12

Microsoft has now acknowledged that Windows 11 version 24H2, the upcoming update, will actually arrive later this year. Although it’s encouraging to know that Microsoft intends to release a significant update for Windows 11, the news may come as a letdown to those users who have been hoping for and anticipating a swift release of Windows 12. Windows 12 is the rumored version of the next Windows operating system.

Nonetheless, we anticipate the release of Windows 11 24H2 in early September or early October 2024, which will keep Microsoft’s attention on creating more AI-assisted user experiences and, consequently, quality of life enhancements that the company has been emphasizing lately.

This does not, however, imply that we may raise our hopes for Windows 12 until after the latter half of 2024. It was observed that the strong focus on the greatest experiences and remarkable features of next-generation AI led many users to believe that Windows 11’s replacement was imminent.

Furthermore, this alleged release was identified as a code named Hudson Valley; an official announcement is expected to be made in the middle of 2024, with the release scheduled to begin in the latter half of the same year.

Windows Central claims that the Windows 11 preview building changing log, which indicates that channels will see the versioning altered under settings and the system, about and next to Winver syntax, is the source of this confirmation of Windows’ yearly significant feature upgrade. However, this indicates that the yearly feature upgrade for this year will be Windows 11, version 24H2.
