As a system administrator, there are features and commands that are supposed to be mastered. Below is a trial question for system admins.

Question:

A user named Surf-Cypher has forgotten his password in the entire system login; How would you reset his password without knowing the current password?

Meanwhile, it is noted in the field of computer science and Information Technology, as an undisclosed sequence of characters, typically consisting of letters or numbers and or symbols, using by many users nationwide to authenticate and authorize access to a computer system.

Solution:

As a system admin, I would follow the below steps:

  1. The user must ensure to explore or launch the installed active directory, navigating to Users and Computers console in the given window environment.
  2. Look for the user-name known as or to be in the name of Surf-Cypher’s account and make sure to right-click on it
  3. Select or point to “reset password” and select it from the given Window
  4. Feed the system with a new password for Surf-Cypher (USER)
  5. Ensure to confirm it by entering the same password once more for full confirmation.
  6. Make sure to check the box User must change password at the next log-on to ensure Surf-Cypher sets a new password at his next login.
