A task manager, also known as a task scheduler or job scheduler, is a software utility that is part of the operating system. It manages tasks by organizing and executing them based on a defined schedule or other parameters. This ensures that certain processes are completed promptly and helps prevent computer crashes due to resource constraints.
To open Task Manager in Windows, you can follow these methods:
Method 1: Pressing the Ctrl+Shift+Esc Keys
Press the Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys simultaneously.
Method 2: Right-Clicking on the Taskbar
Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar. A context menu will appear. Click on the ‘Task Manager’ option.
Method 3: Pressing the Ctrl+Alt+Delete Keys
Press the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys simultaneously. This will open the Windows Security dialogue box. Click on the ‘Task Manager’ button in the bottom-right corner of the dialogue box.
Method 4: Clicking on the ‘Start’ Button
Click on the start button on the talks bar, that in the search bar and type ‘Task Manager’ in the search bar.
Note: To open Task Manager using a right-click on the taskbar, you need to enable this option first. Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar and check the ‘Task Manager’ option under the ‘Taskbar’ section in the context menu.
In Windows 10, Task Manager is now accessed through File Explorer by navigating to ‘This PC’ or ‘My Computer’, right-clicking, and selecting ‘Task Manager’.
