If you are working on a Windows-based system, you can move, cut, and copy files or documents by following these steps:
Locate the file or document you want to move, cut, or copy.
Click on the file with your left mouse button.
To move or copy the file, press the following keys on your keyboard simultaneously: Ctrl + X (Cut) or Ctrl + C (Copy).
Now, navigate to the new location where you want to place the file.
Click on the folder with your left mouse button where you want to move or copy the file.
To paste the file, press the following key on your keyboard: Ctrl + V.
Note: When you cut a file, it will be removed from its original location. When you copy a file, a duplicate will be created at the new location.
If you are working on a Mac-based system, the steps are similar.
Locate the file or document you want to move, cut, or copy.
Click on the file with your left mouse button.
To move or copy the file, press the following keys on your keyboard simultaneously: Command + X (Cut) or Command + C (Copy).
Now, navigate to the new location where you want to place the file.
Click on the folder with your left mouse button where you want to move or copy the file.
To paste the file, press the following key on your keyboard: Command + V.
Remember, these are keyboard shortcuts. You can also accomplish these tasks using your mouse. Just remember that when you cut a file, it will be removed from its original location, and when you copy a file, a duplicate will be created at the new location
