Files are set of related records created in the computer system as required. Files can be in a text format or system format.
To Create a File In Ms-Dos
- Load Ms-Dos, ( Guide were given in the previous lessons)
- Type at the command prompt:
- Copy
- Give a space
- Type con
- Give Space again by pressing the spacebar
- type the filename
- Press the enter key
- type the content of the file, for example, John was a good player in his team
- Press the enter key to jump to the next line
- press function key 6 (F6) to save the file
- Press the enter to end the execution of the file.
- To exit, type at the command prompt, EXIT. Note that, whether the command is in upper or lowercase, it performs the same instruction or command as required.
