How to create a simple diary using notepad

Notepad as widely known is a text editing application software but based under the text editing category. Notepad creates and edits plain text documents. It was developed by the Microsoft Corporation and it is very useful and strong when using it in programming.

Meanwhile, it was released in the year 1983 and is known generally as a freeware application. It is run on IA-32, 86, 64, and ARM. The simple definition is it is a simple text editing program that helps users to create documents.

Creating A Diary Using Notepad

Load notepad by performing any of the below:

1. Click on the Start Button on the taskbar
2. Select and click on Accessories
3. Click on Notepad

OR

1. Hold the windows key down as you press “R” to run
2. Type in the run dialogue box notepad
3. Press the enter key once or click on OK

OR

1. On the Taskbar, click on the search rectangular box
2. Type in the search bar notepad
3. Press the enter key

Time To Create The Diary

• In the working area, press or type dot(.)
• Press the enter key once
• Type LOG in upper case only
• Press the enter key once again
• Save the file with any name you wish to or simply save it as DIARY.
• Close the notepad application
• Open it again by double-clicking on it or right-clicking and by selecting open

Result – The file would open with the previous entries if there are any by the user.
