Formatting A Document In Word Processing Application

The term formatting means the act or the process of changing an appearance of a text, a word, or a sentence in an entire document by changing the font, color, and other effects in a document. However, formatting involves tools that can be used, such as:

  • The font color
  • The font style
  • The Alignment tools such as align left, align right, center, and Justify.
  • The underline
  • Boarders and shading
  • The fill color and many other, life fill effects
  • The bulleting
  • The numbering
  • Change case
  • Word Art
  • ClipArt features
  • Strike-Through
  • Bold
  • Outline
  • Emboss
  • All Caps
  • Double underlining
  • Bold Italic
  • Italic
  • etc

Formatting A Text

Formatting a text means changing the appearance of the text such as the color, size, or even the highlighter of a text.

Why Should A User Format A Text

  1. It helps the user to beautify the text
  2. to enable a user to change the format of the text and how it looks in the document presentation
  3. It also changes the outlook of the entire document as per the user’s request
  4. The output of the document looks presentable when on the hardcopy
  5. Also, the case sensitivity becomes very different as in softcopy presentation
