File Management

In computing, the term file management refers to various ways through which a user handles those named files in the computer system.

However, it could also mean that, the act or process of organizing and controlling data files that are stored or saved in the computer system or on a specific drive is external.

Files could also be stored on our Android devices or even in the cloud. Effective file management, therefore, can also improve organization, and, more importantly, increase productivity. Also, enabling the event version control scalability for growing organization.

How to create a file

Files can be created in various ways, namely:

  1. Using a text editor or even a Word processor application
  2. Also, by using a programming language, a user can create a file. 
  3. By using a command line interface, thus using the echo command for windows and touch for UNIX based system
  4. Using the digital camera or a scanner, a user can create and manage a file
  5. Also, by using file compression software.

These are just a few of them, however, in the next article, much will be  explored as expected.

How to delete a File

  1. Make sure you locate the file, thus where it is saved
  2. Select the file by clicking on it once
  3. Right click on the file and click on delete
  4. Click on yes to proceed, or click on no to decline

 How to Copy, Cut and Paste a File

  1. To copy a file, right click on the file and click on copy from the shortcut menu
  2. Locate the pointer to where you wish to paste the file
  3. Right click on an empty space 
  4. Select and click on Pate from the given menu

To Cut a File, follow the below steps:

  1. Right click on the file that you want to cut
  2. Choose for the given menu, cut
  3. Move or locate where you want to paste the file
  4. Right click on an empty space
  5. Choose paste
