The computer desktop features are known as one of the main components of the entire visual display unit, however, they are also known as the display of the monitor. Desktop computing comprises the screen of the monitor, which has features that enable users to apply and execute tasks per user’s request.
Desktop Features
These are the features or components that constitute the entire computer desktop or screen. There are many features, such as the following:
- My computer icon
- My Recycle Bin
- My Network places
- Folders
- Program Icons
- The Taskbar
- Wall paper and the background
The above are not limited, but on other PCs, there can be other applications or programmable features that help a user or that have been modified per users demand.
The Taskbar
The taskbar consists of icons, such as in the form of short, to enable users to quickly load any named application software installed in the computer system. Components of the taskbar could include the following:
- start button
- notification area or corner
- shortcuts of applications in the system
- quick or search bar
- date and time, and many more, such as the battery’s health.
