Formatting refers to the act of transforming or changing the contents of a text or a sentence in a document. However, it can also be defined as the process of changing the appearance of a text making it more appealing and beautiful.
Formatting tools:
Most of the tools requires only mouse operations, however, majority carries both using the mouse and that of the computer keyboard. Below are fewer list of formatting tools and their shortcuts or key combinations respectively.
- Ctrl + C to Copy
- Ctrl + X to Cut
- Ctrl + V to Paste
- Ctrl + Esc, this gives the user the start menu, similar to pressing clicking on the start button
- Alt + spacebar + N, this allows a user to minimize an active window to the task bar.
- Alt + the tab key switches between programs resting on the task bar(NOTE: while holding down the alt key, the user is supposed to be pressing the tab)
- Alt + F4, this closes an application or a Window
- Ctrl + shift +>, increases the font size of a text or a sentence in a word processing application.
These are few but there are a lot that would be delivered shortly to enhance user’s basic skills in operations.
