Microsoft Word (Word Processor)

Microsoft Word, also called word processor, is an example of application software known internationally and used by many users globally. Ms Word is classified and noted to be the best application for typing and processing other documentation features.

It can be used to type or prepare letters, memos, invitation cards, wedding cards, curriculum vitae, and many essential files or documents.

Ms Word is a product designed by Microsoft Company and widely used professionally. Ms Word can be used to edit, prepare, store and even save or print the same document for future use. Ms Word has sub or few examples such as:

• Word Pad
• Word Perfect
• Open office Word
• Abi Word and many more.

Ways of launching Ms Word.

Using the keyboard

• Hold down the windows key as you press the letter R for a run (Win+R)
• Type in the dialogue box winword
• Press the enter key once

Using the Computer Mouse

1. Click on the start button from or on the taskbar
2. Hover or move the pointer to All Programs and click on it
3. Select and click on Microsoft Office
4. Select and click on Ms Word

Using the Rectangular Search Box

• Click inside the search box on the Windows desktop taskbar
• Type Word/Ms Word or Microsoft Word
• Press the enter key

Using the Shortcut Icon

• Double-click on the shortcut icon on the desktop/taskbar to launch the application.
• Or click on the shortcut icon once and press the enter key

By using the Secondary Button

1. Right Click on the Ms Word shortcut icon on the Windows desktop
2. From the drop-down menu, select and click on Open
