Introduction to SCRATCH PROGRAMMING
Program and Programming Language.
In our daily life we perform many tasks from dawn to dusk. Any tasks. Any task that we perform includes various steps and these steps are completed by step to step in a particular sequence; such as 01, 02, 03, 04 05 and so on.
Example:
suppose a teacher teacher as John to bring a notebook of his class from the computer lab. Since he is new in the school so she guides him the way to reach the computer lab.
She gives instructions to JOHN to follow in the following manner:
- Move left from the class and go straight
- After leaving 5 classes,take a right turn.
- Move forward and after leaving six classes, take a left turn.
- After leaving three classes, you will reach to the computer lab.
Likewise a computer follows step wise instructions to complete any tasks, which is known as PROGRAM. However, a program is also known as a software that has instructions and tells the computer hardware what to do.
Everything that a computer does from starting up to shutting down is done by a program. Also, games that we play in the computer or our various phones are nothing but a Program. Viruses written been an antivirus or viruses is also known as a program.
The language used to write programs are called Programming languages, such as PHP, JAVA, vb, C++, PERL, PYTHON, ALICE and many more.
SCRATCH as one if the languages can be installed on any operating systems including Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Let’s consider the next practical work in scratch programming…….
