Formatting in word processing applications means the act of changing the effects or appearance of a text, word, or sentence in an entire document.

1.Bold: To make your text bold, highlight the desired text and select the “Bold” option from the formatting toolbar. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+B.

2.Italic: To italicize your text, highlight the desired text and select the “Italic” option from the formatting toolbar. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+I.
